About the research group

This is the research group at the Departments of Physics, at the University of Rwanda at two of its colleges: College of Science and Technology (UR-CST) and College of Education (UR-CE). The ISP support started in 2014. The activities are coordinated by Prof. Manasse Mbonye, Prof. Bonfils Safari and Dr. Pheneas Nkundabakura.

Objectives

Rwanda Astrophysics, Space and Climate Science Research Group (RASCSRG) aims at building the research capacity in Astrophysics, Space and Climate Science in Rwanda. The main activity will be to develop the human resource research capacity in Astrophysics, Space, Atmospheric and Climate Science. This will take place through training postgraduate students in these fields. The academic staff will be supported to establish collaboration with other scientists through research visits and short trainings.
