UR-CoEB Solve Climate 2030 Webinar
The Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resource Management (CoEB) is
collaborating with the Center for Environmental Policy (CEP) at Bard College, USA to organize a webinar on climate change mitigation. This initiative was conceived by CEP under the “Solve Climate by 2030” campaign. Solve Climate by 2030 will engage more than 100,000 students in different universities around the world in critical conversations about clean energy and other topics related to climate change mitigation. Every participating university will host its own event between 06 April and 14 April 2021. On behalf of the University of Rwanda, the CoEB will host an online webinar on climate solutions, green energy, green jobs, green growth and climate friendly transportation on 6th April 2021 at 3:00-4:30 p.m (Rwandan time). Targeted audience for this webinar is mainly students across the University of Rwanda and other higher learning institutions in Rwanda. 1. Egide Kalisa, a postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Toronto in Canada and Research associate at the Centre of Excellence of Biodiversity (CoEB) at the University of Rwanda.
2. Dr. Patrice Habinshuti, the COO for Envisage Rwanda
3. Grace Ineza, the Founder and Executive Director of the Green Fighter, a youth lead environmental NGO.
